Located in Northern Arizona, the South Rim of the Grand Canyon has both indoor and outdoor wedding accommodations. Whichever site you choose will leave a glorious, lasting impression.

Facts and infos

  • Open year round
  • Special Use Permit required (has to be obtained by couple)
  • Early reservation recommended (there is only one event per day allowed on a viewpoint)

To get married in the Grand Canyon a permit is necessary, the permit process require a minimum of 4 weeks. Do not wait until the last minute for your booking. It is possible that complex special events require more than 4 weeks to process.

Outdoor wedding locations:

  • Pima Point, for smaller parties, (may not be open in December, January and February if Hermits road is closed)
  • Rim Worship site, for up to 50 people.
  • Grandeur Point, for up to 45 people.
  • Shoshone Point, for up to 85 people, only viewpoint available for outdoor receptions. Open from may 1st through October 15.
  • Moran Point, for up to 35 people, offers an expansive view over the canyon, less visitors on this point
  • Lipan Point, for up to 35 people, view over the Colorado River

Indoor wedding locations:

  • Shrine of Ages, features a 280-seat auditorium, with a smaller room that holds 60 people. No alcohol permitted in the building. Food only permitted in the smaller room.
