You would have to solve a marriage license on the Justice Court before the ceremony, after the ceremony the marriage license will be completed and returned to the Justice Court for registration by us. After that you are legally married in the U.S. If you need your marriage to be recognized in a foreign country, we also can assist you with that. You only would need a second document a so called Apostille to be sent to your homecountry registry office. Read more at our Paperwork Service.

Q?

Do you also offer Vow renewal ceremonies?

A.

Yes, we certainly also offer vow renewal ceremonies for couples that are already married. This is a beautiful occasion and we would be happy to hold you vow renewal ceremony in the majestic landscape of the Wild West.

We love the idea of renewing wedding vows. We think the vows could be enriched with all the new memories and experiences, that the couple shared in their married years.

It is very romantic to promise each other again to go through good and bad times, after all the past years they went through. It is also a good opportunity to have a different wedding and to dare something special, that some couples wouldn’t do for their official wedding day with all the family and guests of a classic big wedding near home. Why not having a destination wedding for your vow renewals in the majestic landscape of the Southwest. Or combine your honeymoon with an intimate vow renewal destination wedding after your big wedding at home.

Q?

Is it possible to combine a wedding at HorseshoeBend with a photoshooting in Antelope Canyon?

A.

Unfortunately, the Antelope Canyon is a very busy tourist attraction. They don't allow photo shootings until the first part of November. After that it would be possible to request. If you want a (bridal) photoshooting in a Slot Canyon (looks nearly like Antelope Canyon) a beautiful alternative is Peek-a-boo Slot Canyon near Kanab UT. We can arrange transportation between Page AZ (Horseshoe bend) and Kanab UT (Peek-a-boo Slot Canyon).

Q?

How private is a wedding at these popular locations?

A.

Please be aware that if you choose a touristic hotspot like Horseshoe bend, you won't be all alone. Unfortunately, it is not possible to exclude other tourists from visiting the public locations during your wedding, even with a special permit for the ceremony. But we always find a beautiful spot to hold the ceremony without other people in the way. And as soon as the tourists see a bridal couple they won't stand in their way or interrupt the ceremony. They leave enough space to feel comfortable. But if you like it more private, we know other locations that are less known but very beautiful. We already had a couple that married at White Pocket and they loved it, it was a very intimate wedding. Other less crowded locations for very intimate wedding ceremonies are e.g. Peek-a-boo Slot Canyon, Toadstool Hoodoos, Paria Townsite e.t.c.

Have a look at our locations.

Q?

How early in advance should I book my wedding?

A.

As early as possible!

This depends on the location.

e.g. The Grand Canyon should be booked as early as possible, there is only one wedding a day on a viewpoint allowed. The National Park Service needs at least four weeks for the process of the permit. The desired viewpoint can be booked up to one year in advance.

Q?

What do I need to bring for the marriage license?

A.

  • A valid government-issued Photo I.D. (e.g. Passport)
  • Social security number, if you have one
  • Divorce Decree or Decree of Annulment (if one applicant was married, only Utah)
  • Cash to pay the fee (if you solve the marriage license by yourself)
